MISSION & ETHICS

At Scott Place, our mission is to create thoughtfully designed clothing that minimizes harm and maximizes impact, from the materials we choose to the people we support.
Our garments are made from 100% reclaimed cotton, sourced from post-industrial fabric scraps that are collected, processed, and spun into new yarns. This conserves water and energy, avoids virgin materials, and helps reduce textile waste. Unlike most fabrics, ours contains zero polyester or microplastics, making it fully biodegradable and gentle on the planet.
Our supply chain is based entirely in Los Angeles, where every worker earns a fair, living wage and works in safe, regulated conditions. By keeping production local, we not only support our community but also reduce emissions and ensure a transparent, ethical manufacturing process from start to finish. No shortcuts. No exploitation. Just ethically made clothing designed to last.
As part of our commitment to giving back, 1% of our net sales are donated to mental health organizations. We are currently donating to The JED Foundation, a nonprofit that protects emotional health and prevents suicide for our nation’s teens and young adults, giving them the skills and support they need to thrive today and tomorrow.
We’re also proud to be a member of 1% for the Planet, a global network of businesses pledging 1% of annual sales to environmental causes.
Even as a small business, we believe in using our platform to drive real change, supporting both the planet and the people living on it. Doing things the right way shouldn’t be the exception, it should be the standard.
